GREENSBORO, N.C. -- If you ask someone what they would buy if they won the lottery - the answers are pretty standard.
Most people say they'll pay off their debt, maybe buy a new house, or go on a nice vacation.
A near-record breaking $636 million dollars is at stake in the Mega Millions jackpot.
Instead of finding out how people would spend their millions, WFMY News 2 asked how they would give.

"We already have most everything we
David Parks said he would give money to, "St. Jude's children's hospital. The use the money, all the money for what it's supposed to be for."
There have been some charitable lottery winners in the past.
The Florida woman who won the jackpot in June handed over $2 million to fix a leaky roof at the school her kids went to.
A Canadian newspaper reported a man who won $40 million in their lottery has pledged to give every last penny to charity.
If there is a winner in the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night, that person could walk away with $341 million after taxes.
