The confrontation at a home on Olmsted Drive near North Chambers Road was related to a shooting Thursday night on Mississippi Avenue, the Aurora Police Department said. Two black males reportedly fired shots at a car and fled. No one was hurt in the incident, APD reported.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Aurora theater shooting suspect James Holmes will go on trial December 8, even though his defense team asked the judge for another delay Tuesday. The judge says both sides have had plenty of time and he expects them to be ready for trial. He’ll also decide in the next couple of days whether Holmes upcoming second psychiatric exam will be recorded on video.

City attorneys filed motions over the weekend seeking to toss out subpoenas for the records. The officers' attorneys filed similar motions last week. Both officers had a role in the response to the July 20, 2012, shootings.
